This is a portrait gallery for patrons of any and all incarnations of Callahan's Place, online or otherwise. Think of it as being a patch of the wall of the Place somewhere. (Not too close to the fireplace; heat is bad for oil paints.)
Patron portraits in this gallery are linked to the patron's Web homepage, if the patron chose to provide one. Mousing over portraits may show a list (as a tooltip) of Callahans instances, online and offline, wherein that patron may be found, if the patron chose to provide such a list. If the patron chose to provide an email address, that address will either be linked to the patron's nameplate or, if the patron requested that it be obscured, will be displayed in obfuscated form in a tooltip if the nameplate is moused over.
Photo submissions may be sent using the submissions form.
This gallery is not yet feature-complete. When sufficient portraits are available, the CGI will allow three different views: all portraits with a specified initial letter, fifteen-to-a-page (three rows of five), or all at once. At present, the "all at once" and "fifteen to a page" views are implemented. I don't plan on writing the code for the initial-letter view until there's more real data to work with. Right now, there's only five initial letters that would yield more than one portrait.
Do you think you know what they look like? If you have a good photo that matches your mental image of Grimes or Gridley, submit it on their behalf. The best submission -- in the opinion of the Maintainer -- for each cat will be posted as that cat's portrait. If there's many equally good submissions, maybe we'll hold a vote.
